Some countries charge a Duty Tax or Customs Import Fee for an item to be imported. Unfortunately this is beyond our control:

IMPORTANT NOTICE – EU DELIVERIES

As soon as you buy a product from a non-EU country, then effectively you become an importer and become liable to Customs and Excise Duty as well as Value Added Tax (VAT) payments. If the terms of sale do not specify another arrangement, the goods would normally be held by the Customs Authority at entry, pending the payment of duty and tax. For more information on EU tax and duty please see: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/individuals/buying-goods-services-online-personal-use/buying-goods/buying-goods-online-coming-from-a-noneu-union-country_en

IMPORTANT NOTICE – UK DELIVERIES

Anything posted or couriered to you goes through customs to check it isn’t banned or restricted then you pay the tax and ‘duty’ (customs charges) on it. This includes anything new or used that you: buy online, buy abroad and send back to the UK, or receive as a gift. Royal Mail, Parcelforce or the courier company will contact you explaining how to pay any VAT, duty and fees for dealing with customs. They’ll normally hold your parcel for about 3 weeks. If you haven’t paid the fee by then it’ll be returned to sender. For more information on UK tax and duty please see: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad

DAMAGED AND LOST GOODS

On receiving the goods please inform us within two working days if the goods have been damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem.
If you do not receive the goods within two weeks of delivery send us an email and we will track it down.
For the above quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

IMPORT DUTIES & VAT

Prices do not include VAT for international orders. Import duties are the responsibility of the purchaser, and Kia Kaha will not be liable or able to pay these. Please ensure you are aware of how these do/do not apply and how they are charged in your country.
